WEEK FIVE - ONLINE CLASSES

What's up guys!

I think today's topic is very familiar to most, if not all, UB students here.. Hint: It's about learning through Internet. YUP! It's about e-learning. Or we can also say it as online classes, since I think it is a term you guys are more familiar with.

So... what is online classes? Hmm..
It is actually classes that we can take through the Internet. Online classes come in many forms, some of them are in a form of video, text or pictures, some of them are live and some of them are pre-recorded. I am actually taking an online class now, it is compulsory and the only way we can actually learn something is through watching the videos that my teacher uploaded.

I personally feel that online class is super helpful. This is because we can always refer back when we missed out something or if we simply want to relearn the topic. With Internet being available 24/7, there are no reason that we cannot access the lesson and classes. Moreover, with the existence of smartphone (Thank God!), we can now study anywhere! With a few clicks here and there, we can surf the internet to watch or read even when we are bored!

Another benefit of online class is the ability for us to multitask. There are a lot of young parents and workers who were forced to quit their education or taking part-time classes because they are too busy to worry about other stuff. However, with online classes, they can have education while working in their respective place. It's a win-win situation!
Not to mention that online classes are much more cheaper!

However, we cannot take online classes for granted! We must still regularly watch the lesson just as how we go to school/class everyday. Just because they are readily available 24/7, doesn't mean we can stall and wait until the last few days to take the lessons.

So guys, I think online classes can generate more opportunities to people who want to learn and acquire knowledge but doesn't have the time and money to do so.

Cheers to a new source of knowledge!

  1. It's nice that you mentioned the benefits of online classes, but why did you say "one does not simply do well in an online class"?

  2. looks like taking online classes would require lots of personal discipline and time management or else students would tend to miss out on what is taught through the slides.
