WEEK FOUR - ONLINE BUSINESS

Hey guys! Before I start talking about today's topic, I wanted to ask: "Have you guys ever thought of starting an online business?" Actually, no! don't answer it. I am sure that many of you guys had thought about it, or at least tried shopping online.
 
Fun Fact: There are about 12-24 million online stores worldwide! Although only about 650,000 of them generate $1000 annually..

It has been a few years since traditional businesses began to expand their business by creating an online shop. As of now, you can find all kinds of online shop out there; clothing, electronics, foods and many other things things that you can think of!
My family owns a jeans factory and I had suggested several times to open an online store. And I am more eager now since I learned more about this topic in class.
I even gave them several explanations as how online store can benefit our business:

1. I think that by creating online store for our products, we can attract not only local customers, but also customers from different parts of the world. Way to go to acquire more customers and generate more sales!
2. I also feel that creating online store is much more convenient for us and also our customers. Imagine that instead of driving several miles to go to our store, they can access our store by clicking few buttons on their keyboard!
3. One important factor that can change by creating an online store is: Budget. I mean, with creating an online store, we can minimize our expenses and budget for opening a store. We do not need to find a physical store to rent and also the equipment that follows. Moreover, there are a lot of websites that offer free services to create a website for our online store. What we need to do is to provide the products, find a courier service that willing to cooperate with our company and set up an account for them to transfer their money to. 
4. Or if you think that managing a website is hard, we can sell our products through a platform like eBay, Amazon or Alibaba.

To put it simply, online stores make transaction much more easier and faster! I actually would be really hyped if all stores have their own online store. I would curl in my own bed and never get out.




But hey! Online shop is not all about buying physical products, website like Netflix actually offers millions of movies and tv shows for you movie maniac out there. So if you are bored, or simply wanted to stay in on a Saturday night, you can become their member and get access to all shows that can keep you up all day and night! So cheers!
